It’s a great question; is CBD safe for pets? the answer is Yes, however, we cannot create a pet range. Why? let’s look into it.

Interestingly, the Veterinary world is the only space in the UK you can refer to CBD Oil as ‘Medicine’.

CBD for Pets is classed as a ‘Veterinary Medicinal Product’ currently no one in the UK is licenced for Animal CBD products.

Subsequently, only a Vet could prescribe it, That is if indeed a licenced product existed.

But let’s look at the idea of CBD for your pets.

Let’s consider how CBD works with your endocannabinoid system (ECS for short).

Endocannabinoids also referred to as ‘endogenous cannabinoids’, are a bunch of neurotransmitters.

They send out signals to regulate the body. We have CB1 and CB2 receptors receiving the signals.

Cannabinoid receptors are present in your brain and body and these are the most abundant receptors in the human brain.

It was a randomised, placebo-controlled experiment. An owner and veterinarian double-blind, cross-over trial.

Twenty-two dogs had been X-rayed and confirmed to have osteoarthritis.

The dogs; depending on their size were given 2mg and 8mg doses over a 24hour period.

Our scientists observed an increase in activity and a decrease in pain. The news is looking good!
